D-day: Kieffer commando

Today a little bit of history. Do you know the Kieffer commando? Even if you’re french you may not know this famous commando, which was part of the D-day landing in Normandy back in June 1944. They were 177 men of the 1er Bataillon de Fusiliers Marins Commandos, the only 177 french soldiers who took part to the allied landing in Normandy. The battalion was first assigned to the No 4 Commando of the British Army. Like the others British commando they were trained in the famous Commando Training Center at Achnacarry, Scotland and were wearing the green beret.

You could find more infos about these great men here or here.

As a little hommage, I decided to rename my Tempests prime of my loyalist Militarum tempests scions army. Vive la France and Long live the Queen!
